Stopping is defined as complete loss of momentum for any period of time.  Track officials will have final say in determining who causes a yellow flag.

Example 1: If you stop, spin or otherwise cause a yellow to be thrown, you caused the yellow and shall go to the tail.

Example 2: A car spins in front of you and you stop to avoid impact. You have lost complete momentum and are considered part of the yellow. You shall go to the tail.

Example 3: Someone spins you and you cause a yellow. You shall go to the tail

Example 4: A car spins in front of you and you make evasive action to avoid impact. In doing so you lose several positions but maintain momentum and are able to rejoin the field. If a yellow is thrown that is determined to be another driver’s fault, not yours, you will be scored and restart in the position you were in prior to the yellow without going to the tail.

Failure to drop to the rear of the field during a heat race will result in disqualification in the race and you will start at the tail of the following feature.
